Bendcrete Skateparks
We are a small team based out of Abingdon near Oxford.
We are passionate about what we do and pride ourselves on a flexible approach to help clients achieve the best value possible and provide the following services:
Meetings with user groups, design, consultancy, design and build.
We have always believed it is of vital importance to consult with local users and tailor a design based on their requirements balanced within the budget available.
We listen to anyone with good ideas and a proven ability to bring the best ideas forward.
We can meet with councils and user groups to work through design ideas and perform site surveys on proposed sites.
Bendcrete's designer has been a skateboarder since 1986 and shows no sign stopping anytime soon!
History
Bendcrete
Bendcrete started life back in 1976.
At the time, the owner of Bendcrete was working for a local authority and was approached about building a climbing wall. He built one and this was the birth of Bendcrete climbing walls.
(Bendcrete Climbing Walls is now a separate company based near Manchester).
In 1996 he was then approached to build a concrete skateboard park, something that had not been done in the UK for a number of years. This was the start of Bendcrete Skate Parks. Bendcrete has since led the renaissance in concrete skate park construction offering sprayed or precast methods of construction. To date we have installed over 180 concrete skate parks in the UK. Including: Kings Park in Bournemouth, Hyde Park in Leeds, Meanwhile gardens in London, Priory Park in Reigate, Horfield in Bristol, Elgin in Scotland, and Buckie in Scotland.
